the original marilyn monroe

I've been doing sketchy research for a story I'm trying to write, which takes place in NYC blah blah blah. Turns out YouTube has some pretty boss movies taken on the streets of New York in the early 1900s. I made myself nauseous watching men sliding down the steel beams of the Empire State Building without any kind of harness or helmet or gigantic net to catch them. And then I found some weirdo's home video of 23 skidoo at the foot of the Flatiron Building (note all the other pervvy men craning their necks to get a peek at some chick's ankles).

But this one is by far the best. Apparently filmed by Thomas Edison, it seems to be a boring shot down 23rd Street. But then this lady walks over a subway vent...
