what i've learned from hanging out with a 10 year-old boy and 13 year-old girl for the past five days

-Mechanical pencils are worth their weight in rubies.

-If the girl who allegedly likes you tells you to spike your whole head of hair, you do it.

-Riding a RipStik is way, way harder than it looks.

-Justin Bieber is an excellent subject for a PowerPoint presentation.

-If worse comes to worst, you can always borrow a pair of shoes from the lost-and-found.

-Swimming sometimes counts as a shower.

-The following motto is hilarious & bears repeating 19 or 27 times: "Boys are stupid--throw rocks at them!"

-If your best friend wants to talk to a cute 9th grader about the fact that you have a crush on him, it's only okay if you're having a good hair day.

-The backseat of my car is an outstanding place to store any of the following: sneakers, fruit snacks, jackets, sports bags, lacrosse balls, violins, & baseball gloves.

-This band, Queen, (you may know them from the song "We Are the Champions") is totally awesome!

-Tiny, one-inch harmonicas can make an enormous amount of noise.

-It's cool to change into your jockstrap in front of other people as long as you make them close their eyes first.

-There are three food groups: frozen pizza, frozen chicken nuggets, & candy.

-It's just as easy to lose a game of SCOOTER as it is to lose a game of HORSE.

-The Yankees suck, but it's okay to wear a Yankees hat if it fits you better than your Red Sox hat.

-Boys are stupid, & you may want to throw rocks at them, but not if they give you shoulder massages during drama class.

-Getting a 100 on your Greek myths quiz is worth making a long-distance call for.

-Peeing with the door open: cool. Pooping with the door open: not cool.

-At the end of the day, Phineas & Ferb really is the best show on TV (but I knew that already).
