A tornado hit Springfield, about 30 miles south of me. I was in yoga class when it happened--the worst thunderstorm I've ever seen, sat over us for an hour and a half. My teacher was completely at ease, he just kept going: "Elongate your armpits, breathe into the stretch," & I was staring out the window at the pitch black sky, willing myself not to run out of the classroom.
When I got home last night, the sky was yellow & the clouds looked like bubblewrap.
Thankfully, my town made out just fine. But this video scares the pants off me. Fast-forward to about 30 seconds in--it sucks the river right up out of its bed!
Massachusetts, you wear me out.
